COIMBATORE: An emergency consultative meeting of the Puthiya Tamilagam was held in connection with the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly election at the residence of party president K Krishnasamy in Kuniyamuthur near here on Thursday. Krishnasamy is expected to announce the party’s alliance decision for the assembly poll on Friday.More than 200 party functionaries from across Tamil Nadu participated at the meeting, chaired by Dr Krishnasamy.According to party sources, the discussion focused on which political party the organization should align with in the upcoming poll.Before the meeting began, party functionaries were given a confidentiality undertaking form and asked to sign it. The form stated that participants would not record, disclose, or share any matters discussed in the meeting, except those permitted, with the public or with any other person.
