The Bankipur Assembly by-election will be held on July 30, and votes polled will be counted on August 3.
Jan Suraaj Party founder Prashant Kishor is contesting the bypoll to the assembly seat which was vacated by BJP president Nitin Nabin, who was elected to Rajya Sabha.
“Political Dhamaka in Bihar!!!! The most deserving, visionary, an intellectual par excellence, a man of the masses, most loved, admired and talked about personality in totality, Prashant Kishor, at last has jumped into the fray and has created a real sensation in political circle and in public, all over the country, by entering into the by-elections,” Sinha wrote in his X post.

Sinha said that being a “Bihari Babu”, he found this news to be “politically interesting” and “explosive”.
“I hope, wish and pray that people in general, and younger generation in particular, would/ could/ and should/ support him cutting across caste, creed and party affiliations,” the MP from Asansol added.
