In a statement, the party said it would undertake a comprehensive introspection, performance review and organisational assessment at every level to identify shortcomings that contributed to its loss.

The TMC said the organisational structure of the parent body as well as all frontal wings would be reconstituted, with the new appointments and framework to be announced in due course.
The move comes amid an intensifying crisis within the party following its electoral defeat, which ended more than a decade of TMC rule in West Bengal. The loss has triggered growing unrest within the organisation, with a section of legislators openly challenging the leadership’s handling of party affairs in the aftermath of the polls.

By dissolving its existing organisational setup, the TMC leadership appears to be seeking a reset aimed at rebuilding the party machinery, reasserting control and preparing for future electoral battles.
The decision marks the most significant restructuring exercise undertaken by the party since its rise to power in 2011 and signals an acknowledgement within the leadership that major changes are required following the election setback.
