Its 1,548 uncontested seats are nearly 19 times BJP’s 82.The figures indicate a strong grassroots presence for TIPRA Motha ahead of the elections. However, despite being allies, the two parties have fielded candidates in different numbers of seats: TIPRA Motha in 4,279 and the BJP in 1,853. This suggests that the alliance has not resulted in a uniform seat-sharing arrangement at the village level.
