Ranchi: The district administration has directed officials to prevent ticketless spectators from gathering around the JSCA International Stadium ahead of the second India-West Indies T20 International on Oct 9.The instructions were issued at a review meeting held on Monday to discuss law and order, traffic management and security arrangements for the match, which is expected to draw a large crowd.Deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri directed officials to remove people without valid tickets from the stadium perimeter before the entry gates open at 3 pm. He said spectators would be allowed into the stadium only through designated gates and in orderly queues.“Spectators are requested to arrive and queue up at the designated locations before the entry gates open to avoid inconvenience and ensure they can enjoy the match to the fullest,” Bhajantri said. He also urged fans not to carry prohibited items into the stadium.Officials and representatives of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) were asked to coordinate closely and complete all logistical arrangements on time. Security is also being strengthened in and around the stadium complex.Bhajantri appealed to residents and cricket fans to follow traffic rules, park only in designated areas and report any suspicious activity to the police control room.The meeting was attended by the Ranchi SSP, SDO, SP (city), SP (traffic), JSCA president and other officials.
