Varanasi: Three, including a woman and her 5-year-old son, were killed when a trailer hit their motorcycle near Roshnahar village under Ahraura police station in Mirzapur district on Tuesday morning. Locals staged protest after blocking the road, while police seized the trailer and arrested its driver.Mirzapur’s Ahraura police station in charge Ajay Mishra said Anurag Bind, 19, of Sonpur village was taking his aunt Vedvati, 28, and her son Anmol Bind, 5, to the doctor on his motorcycle and as they passed through Roshanhar, a speeding trailer hit their motorcycle.All three on the motorcycle died on the spot and before police could reach the spot, locals gathered around the bodies. They also tried to block the highway and staged a protest. But senior officials, including SDM (Madihan) and the CO, talked to them and convinced them to clear the road. The trailer was seized and its driver was arrested.
