Prayagraj: The Government Railway Police (GRP) at Prayagraj Chheoki junction on Saturday rescued three minor girls, who had reportedly left their homes in Ballia following a dispute and were travelling towards Nashik by train.The GRP was informed by Ballia Kotwali police that the three girls were travelling in the general coach of the Rajgir-Patna Express (Train No. 13201). Taking immediate cognisance of the alert, a team led by GRP inspector Akhilesh Kumar Singh, under the supervision of railway circle officer Arun Kumar Pathak, intensified checking at Prayagraj Chheoki railway station.During a search at Platform No. 3, the team located the three girls safely onboard the train. They were taken to the GRP outpost for counseling.Subsequent verification revealed that the girls were residents of the Kotwali City area of Ballia and had left home without informing their families. Police officials promptly contacted their parents.Soon after, family members reached the GRP Chheoki outpost from Ballia. Following completion of formalities, the girls were handed over to their parents.
