Jhunjhunu: Three devotees walking to Salasar temple were killed late Friday night when an unidentified vehicle hit them on a state highway in Salasar town, Churu district.Salasar Station House Officer Shankarlal said the accident happened around 11:30 pm on the Sangaria–Kishangarh State Highway, about one km from Salasar. The dead were identified as Jayal residents Rajesh Bhargav (27), Natwar Bhargav (29) and Vikram Bhargav (24).Police said the three were part of a group of about 80 people who began a foot journey from Jayal village on Sept 10 for darshan at Salasar temple. The group stopped near Gannedi village to rest, but the three continued on foot towards Salasar.“At around 11:30, an unidentified vehicle hit the three, killing all of them,” Shankarlal said.Police reached the spot and took them to a govt hospital, where doctors declared them dead. A case has been registered against the unidentified vehicle, and CCTV footage is being checked as the investigation continues.
