Prayagraj: Cops nabbed one of the miscreants who allegedly assaulted a class XI student near UPTRON crossing under the limits of Shivkuti police station on April 9.The student’s father, in his complaint submitted to police, alleged that the miscreants, who were known to his son, had thrashed him severely. The student asserted that three of the alumni of his school allegedly called him at the crossing three days back and thrashed him, said police. They escaped after leaving him near Govindpur crossing. The student told his father about the incident and he lodged an FIR.The police have taken one of the accused into its custody who confessed that he along with friends wanted the student to teach a lesson as he used to pass lewd remark on his girl friend.
