Gandhinagar: The Semiconnect Conference will be held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar on March 1, and global CEOs and policymakers will participate in the 3rd edition of the meet, the govt said on Wednesday. Companies such as Micron, Tata Electronics, CG Semi, and Keynes, along with their global partners, will be present at the event, the govt added.Organised by the department of science and technology and Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM), the conference will be themed, ‘Gujarat: India’s Gateway to Silicon’. Chief minister Bhupendra Patel, Union minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw, and others will be present, an official statement said.

The two-day conference will feature keynote speeches, thematic panels, and international roundtables. Topics covered include next-generation semiconductor research and manufacturing, logistics and export readiness for hubs such as Dholera and Sanand, and workforce development for future skills. A guided tour will be organised at the Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) as part of the event, the statement added.
