Copenhagen Fashion Week is often regarded as a harbinger of what’s to come from the Big Four fashion show circuit kicking off in September. And if the Danish city’s August street style looks are any indication, we’re all in for a season of churning butter, making things from scratch and continuing the discourse around “Yesteryear.” Yes, the tradwife aesthetic has officially permeated the street style crowd.
CPHFW Spring 2027 showgoers turned up wearing headscarves, lacy layers, bloomers, prairie dresses and baby bumps — the ultimate tradwife accessory — en masse. One attendee even went so far as to wear a literal apron as a dress, layering it over a distinctly anti-“Little House On the Prairie” tailored blazer and collared shirt for a study in creative contrasts. In most cases, the street style set modernized their throwback looks in some way, whether via a leopard-print East/West handbag, studded leather accessory, pair of statement sneakers or brightly colored print (in direct opposition to the inherent drabness of the standard neutral trad color palette).
Other non-tradwifian trends we spotted (and loved) in Copenhagen: creative layering, 2000s-era going out tops, balloon pants, ample use of sheer fabrics and a variety of minimalist thong sandals. Keep scrolling to see the best street style looks from outside the Spring 2027 shows in Copenhagen.
