Mumbai: City police arrested in MP a security guard who worked at a Jain temple in Kalachowki for allegedly stealing its gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 1.8 crore last month. The suspect, Jitendra Nagaich (34), from Bhind in MP, was hiding at a relative’s home. Officials said the arrest was made within 48 hours of the FIR and all of the stolen valuables were recovered.The theft at the temple located within a housing society took place early on March 30. An FIR was filed against an unknown person. Police scanned nearly 300 CCTV cameras and zeroed in on Nagaich. Technical analysis revealed he was hiding in MP. Police caught him while he tried to jump across rooftops and flee.DCP R Raghasudha (zone 4) said Nagaich faces multiple criminal cases in MP. TNN
