Hyderabad: Telangana Housing Board land parcels in various areas of the city once again fetched high prices up to 1.76 lakh per square yard in Gachibowli and 1.64 lakh per square yard in Kukatpally. In total, the income from Monday’s land sales amounted to 34.27 crore.The Board had issued a notification on Feb 9 to sell 14 land parcels in Gachibowli, Bowrampet, Balaji Nagar, Chintal and other areas of the city through public auction.About 50 bidders participated in the auction held at the KPHB community hall on Monday. Among the plots sold, except for the land in Bowrampet and a flat in Bachupally, all the remaining plots were in MIG and HIG categories. Many people competed to bag them.An upset price of 50,000 was fixed for a plot of 263 square yard in Gachibowli, and the land parcel was sold for 1.76 lakh per square yard. Similarly, a plot of 266 square yard in Kukatpally Balaji Nagar went for 1.64 lakh per square yard. Open plots in the Chintal area were also sold at prices of 84,000 and 74,000 per square yard, said Housing Board vice chairman VP Gautam.Another plot in Gachibowli was sold for 1 lakh per square yard, while a plot measuring 2,600 square yards in Bowrampet was sold for 61,000 per square yard.
