Hyderabad: Telangana govt has appointed senior IAS officer Sanjay Jaju as new chief secretary of Telangana on Friday. He will take over from present chief secretary K Rama Krishna Rao, who is set to demit the office on June 30. The 1992 batch officer Jaju presently secretary of ministry of development of north-east region. A couple of days ago, the Centre repatriated him to his parent cadre Telangana on the request of the state govt.The govt appointed outgoing CS Rama Krishna Rao as advisor and ex-officio special chief secretary to CM upon his superannuation on June 30. Interestingly, Jaju will hold industries and commerce, and IT and chief executive officer of industry and investment cell in CMO and smart proactive efficient and effective delivery (SPEED) like his predecessor Rama Krishna Rao.The state govt which has made some changes in various departments and made incharge arrangements, inducted principal secretary of mines and geology department N Sridhar into Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) as principal secretary. A 1999 batch officer V Seshadri has already been working as principal secretary in CMO. Another CMO special secretary B.Ajith Reddy was transferred and posted as chief executive officer, Invest Telangana, I&C department.Among the other IAS officers, special chief secretary Sabyasachi Ghosh who has been handling implementation of flagship welfare & developmental schemes unit and corporate social responsibility) has been made incharge of handlooms, textiles & handicrafts. He will continue to hold the incharge post of tribal welfare department.Another senior IAS officer Shailaja Ramaiyer shifted and posed as principal secretary of environment and forests department holding incharge as endowments and DG of EPTRI. Ahmad Nadeem, posted as principal secretary in General Administration Department (GAD) relieving M Raghunandan Rao. Nadeem will act as incharge principal secretary of minorities welfare department.Rahul Bojja, who was on leave, posted as principal secretary of revenue disaster management relieving Dasari Harichandana and Rahul Bojja will also hold additional charge of BC welfare department. As mines and geology principal secretary Sridhar inducted in CMO, Raghunandan Rao was given incharge responsibility of mines and geology department.Telangana Rythu Discom chairman and managing director Md.
