Mulugu: In a tragic incident, two brothers drowned in a lake at Ganeshlalpally hamlet under Jeevantharapally village in Mulugu district on Sunday evening. The deceased were identified as M Vinay Kishore (16) and his brother Rajesh (14), residents of Kamalapur village in Mangapet mandal of Mulugu district.According to Mulugu circle inspector D Suresh, Vinay Kishore and his brother Rajesh had come to their grandmother’s residence for Rakhi festival. When Rajesh went to attend a nature’s call, he accident fell into the lake and began shouting for help. Vinay Kishore, who noticed his brother struggling, immediately jumped into the lake to rescue him. Unfortunately, they both got drowned in the lake. Locals found their bodies and immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the spot. The bodies were retrieved and shifted to the Govt Area Hospital in Mulugu for postmortem. A case has been registered and we are investigating, said Suresh.
