Kanpur: A 32-year-old IT professional allegedly died by suicide in Krishnapuram under the Chakeri police station area on Friday morning. Police said a suicide note recovered from the spot allegedly held his elder sister responsible for mental harassment.According to family members, the deceased, Ravi Dixit, did not come out of his room in the morning. When they entered the room, they found him hanging.His wife alleged that his elder sister, Chhavi Mishra, had been pressuring the family over the division of family property, jewellery and agricultural land.She claimed that the ongoing property dispute had led to mental harassment over the past year, causing her husband severe stress.After being alerted, Chakeri police reached the spot and sent the body for postmortem.Police said action would be taken on the basis of the investigation.
