Hyderabad: Startup ecosystem enabler T-Hub has joined hands with Japan’s OKI Electric Industry Co Ltd to launch a programme to help Indian deep-tech startups validate technologies, access Japanese industrial markets and explore commercial opportunities.Telangana govt-led T-Hub said the initiative received more than 150 applications from startups across India. After a multi-stage evaluation, eight startups were shortlisted to work with OKI through T-Hub’s PACE programme, a solution accelerator that connects corporates with startups to solve defined business challenges.The programme will focus on water infrastructure, logistics and supply chain, sectors identified by OKI and T-Hub as priority areas for industrial innovation.The selected startups will engage with OKI’s business and technical teams, receive mentorship on product-market fit for Japanese industrial use cases, and explore pilot projects and co-development opportunities.T-Hub said the collaboration strengthens India-Japan cooperation in deep technology and industrial innovation, ahead of the India–Japan Year of Shared Horizons 2027, which will mark 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.“As OKI expanded its presence in India, it sought a meaningful way to co-build with startups across India and Japan,” said Kavikrut, CEO of T-Hub. He said the partnership translates OKI’s business priorities into problem statements that Indian founders can address.Yusuke Takahashi, executive professional at OKI Electric’s global marketing centre, said participating startups showed strong technical depth and market readiness.T-Hub has earlier expanded its Japan engagement through partnerships with Panasonic, Suzuki, Toyota, JETRO, JICA and Beyond Next Ventures.
