Kolkata: When TMC workers from across the state gather in Kolkata to mark Martyrs’ Day on Monday, BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari will be leading a BJYM rally to Uttar Kanya while former state unit chief Dilip Ghosh will be at an event in Kharagpur to mark the killings of BJP workers.Bengal BJP president Samik Bhattacharya and Union minister Sukanta Majumdar will be at none of these events because they have to attend the monsoon session of Parliament that begins Monday.The Uttar Kanya march will start from Siliguri’s Tinbatti More and end at a ground in Chunabhati. The Calcutta HC has capped participants at 10,000. BJYM state president Indranil Khan said, “The march is to protest the atrocities against women in the state and the theft of jobs.”
