Hyderabad: Four days after surrendering before senior Telangana police officers, top leaders of the banned CPI (Maoists), including Devji, met chief minister A Revanth Reddy and sought an enhancement of the financial rehabilitation package.It is learnt that Revanth Reddy plans to make a statement in the upcoming assembly session regarding the surrender of senior Maoist leaders, including Tipirri Tirupati alias Devji, Malla Raji Reddy, Chandranna, Sujatha, Chokka Rao, and Narasimha Reddy. Appreciating their decision to surrender, the chief minister assured them of security and other assistance.Sources said the surrendered Maoists reportedly sought land as part of their rehabilitation. The surrendered Maoists also expressed their willingness to visit different prisons where arrested Maoists are lodged. DGP Shivadhar Reddy, intelligence chief Vijay Kumar and SIB chief B Sumathi Reddy were also present at the meeting. Under the existing state rehabilitation policy, a central committee member will be paid Rs 25 lakh. However, they have sought an increase to Rs 1 crore.
