Bengaluru: A 20-year-old student was found dead in a decomposed state inside his house in Madanayakanahalli Friday. The incident came to light after family noticed a foul smell emanating from the house and found him hanging in his room.Based on the preliminary investigation, police said the body of the deceased, Udhay Gowda, was found by his parents in his room on the first floor of their house. Udhay was a paramedical student at a private college and was working as a part-time employee. His parents stayed on the ground floor of the house, while Udhay stayed on the first floor.Police suspect that Udhay allegedly died on Wednesday, but the family noticed it only on Friday. His mother went to the first floor and noticed a foul smell. She immediately alerted her husband, and they broke open the door.No suicide note was found. His parents told police that Udhay would often return home late and would either be outside or stay at his elder sister’s house, where she lives with her husband. As the door was locked, they assumed he was at his sister’s house.His brother-in-law alleged that Udhay was addicted to online gaming and suspected that he took the extreme step due to it, but his parents denied it.A senior officer said, “There is no foul play in his death. It is a clear case of suicide. Udhay never expressed any issues to his parents.
