Patna: Senior IPS officer and STF DG Kundan Krishnan has served a Rs 5 crore defamation notice on RJD’s Buxar MP Sudhakar Singh over his allegations against the officer in connection with the death of Bharat Bhushan Tiwari in an alleged police encounter in Bhojpur on June 17.The notice, served through Krishnan’s advocate on Oct 6, seeks a public apology and warns of civil and criminal proceedings. The STF was also involved in the operation in which Tiwari was killed.Reacting on X on Thursday, Singh said he would not bow to pressure from “titles, uniforms or authority”. He said he had been elected to Parliament to defend people’s rights, justice and the Constitution. Singh has raised questions over the circumstances surrounding Tiwari’s death at Bilouti village in Bhojpur district.
