Chief minister M K Stalin on Monday inaugurated agricultural infrastructure projects completed at the cost of 53 crore across the state through video conference.The projects include integrated agriculture extension centres, six sub extension centres, seed banks and cold storage centres. Stalin also inaugurated 16 direct farm markets established in Chennai and neighbouring districts at 2 crore.The chief minister handed over 672 units of farm equipment worth 13 crore to strengthen the mechanism of renting out farm equipment for the benefit of farmers who could not afford large equipment such as tractors and harvest machines.He handed over the Kalaignar memorial ‘Kalaithurai Vithagar’ award to legendary Tamil actress M N Rajam and renowned Tamil director S P Muthuraman.
