Kolkata: The School Service Commission (SSC) issued a notice on Wednesday, saying counselling for the recruitment of assistant teachers to 1,177 vacant posts in upper primary schools would be held from July 21 to July 30. Eligible candidates can download their intimation letters from SSC website from this Friday.The teacher eligibility test (TET) was held in 2015 and the recruitment notification for 14,052 posts was published on Sept 23, 2016. But recruitment has repeatedly been delayed due to legal complications and the cancellation of the panel over corruption allegations during the tenure of the previous govt.
