Madhubani: The Centre’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga-2026’ and ‘Vande Mataram’ campaigns ahead of Independence Day were observed by the 48th Battalion, Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Jaynagar, and its subordinate border outposts at Phulhar and Akharaghat. Local villagers and children participated in patriotic and public awareness programmes.The event began with the collective singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’. SSB personnel briefed participants on the significance and dignity of the National Flag and explained the objectives of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. Villagers were encouraged to hoist the Tiranga at their homes and celebrate Independence Day with patriotism and enthusiasm.As part of the campaign, cycle and foot Tiranga rallies were organised with local residents and children. A cycle rally was held in Akharaghat, where participants carried the National Flag and raised patriotic slogans. In Phulhar, a foot rally was conducted. Participants chanted slogans including “Har Ghar Tiranga”, “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.The rallies raised awareness among border-area villagers about national unity, integrity, patriotism and respect for the National Flag.SSB personnel appealed to residents to hoist the Tiranga at their homes on Independence Day and encourage their families and neighbours to do the same.The programme aimed to increase public participation in the border region, strengthen ties between the SSB and local community, and foster patriotism and national pride among youths and children.
