Nagpur: A speeding car in the convoy of two senior politicians rammed a motorcycle near Gadegaon near Lakhni in Bhandara on the national highway on Thursday, killing one person on the spot and seriously injuring a seven-year-old child.The accident took place around 2.15 pm as the convoy was travelling from Bhandara to Sakoli.The car (MH-36-AL-3605) struck a motorcycle (MH-36-Q-2184) from behind with such force that rider Santosh Bante (30), a resident of Mohdura, died instantly. Seven-year-old Ayush Kamane of Gadegaon, who was also on the bike, was hurt and taken to a hospital.Lakhni Police reached the scene promptly and began an investigation into the collision.
