New Delhi: A 25-year-old man was killed and another critically injured after the sports bike they were riding crashed into the rear of a parked car on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway Tuesday afternoon.The deceased was identified as Sayyad Aman Ali, while the injured pillion rider was identified as Mohammad Faiz, his friend. They reportedly sold books for a living.Police said they received a PCR call about a road accident around 1.15 pm. A team reached the spot near the second Pushta, towards Akshardham, where they found the sports bike lodged behind a parked car.Ali, who was riding the bike, was rushed to Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital, where attending doctors declared him brought dead. Faiz was taken to a nearby hospital by passersby.A police officer said the car, which had suffered a burst front tyre, was parked in the first lane adjacent to the divider. The driver of the car was reportedly present at the spot when the accident occurred. A helmet was also recovered from the scene, indicating that at least one of the riders was wearing it at the time of the incident.A case was registered.
