Srinagar, Oct 2:Jammu and Kashmir has formed an expert panel of specialist and super-specialist doctors to provide expert opinion under the AB PM-JAY and AB PM-JAY SEHAT schemes.
The move comes in response to the decisions taken by the Governing Council of the State Health Agency, J&K, during its 13th meeting held on July 7, 2026.
The panel has been constituted for all specialties and super-specialties, including cardiology, CTVS, oncology, neurology, neurosurgery, urology, and orthopaedics.
The committee has been tasked with providing expert opinion on complex and high-value cases referred by the State Health Agency for claim adjudication, medical audits, and anti-fraud investigations.
Under the order, the Head of the Department to whom a case is referred must furnish their expert opinion and recommendations within the stipulated time, strictly in accordance with applicable guidelines, Standard Treatment Guidelines, and other instructions governing the AB PM-JAY and AB PM-JAY SEHAT schemes.
The order comes into force with immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders.
