Srinagar, August 26: Speaker of the Legislative Assembly A. R. Rather has expressed profound grief and sorrow over the loss of precious human lives in a tragic road accident in the Shiendra area of Surankote in Poonch district.
In a statement, Rather expressed deep anguish over the death of six passengers and injuries sustained by several others in the accident. He conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for eternal peace for the departed souls.
The Speaker also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the accident and expressed solidarity with the victims and their families during this difficult time.
Rather urged the administration to provide ex-gratia relief to the families of the deceased at the earliest and ensure all possible assistance and medical care for the injured.
