Mumbai: A 35-year-old jewellery trader from South Mumbai has been booked under the stringent section of POCSO after his wife alleged that their two minor daughters repeatedly witnessed him engaging in obscene acts while lying in the family hall at their residence. According to the FIR filed with the JJ Marg police, the complainant, a 36-year-old homemaker, alleged that on April 26, her husband returned home late from work and went to sleep on a sofa in the hall. Later that night, their daughters informed her that they had seen their father watching content on his mobile phone and touching his private parts while lying on the sofa. The woman further alleged that similar incidents occurred on two to three occasions thereafter. The daughters reportedly told her that they had witnessed the same behaviour from their father. The homemaker went for counselling and decided to file a complaint.
