Lucknow: UP’s Ayush education will get an upgrade under the govt’s initiative to develop 51 smart classrooms across 17 Ayurveda and Homeopathy medical colleges.“The classrooms will be equipped with interactive flat panels, audio-video systems and digital learning tools to improve classroom engagement and access to online educational resources,” said Ayush director general and mission director Chaitra V, mentioning that the move is part of govt’s resolve to integrate technology with traditional systems of medicine.“Modern digital resources are essential to ensure students pursuing Indian systems of medicine are able to access contemporary modes of learning and research. The smart classrooms will support real-time interaction, multimedia-based teaching and online learning modules,” she said.She said a learning management system will be introduced to create a centralised digital platform connecting Ayush institutions.“Through the LMS, students will be able to access study material, assignments, online lectures and progress reports on a single platform. A digital repository of academic content will also be created to allow students to access learning material remotely,” she said.Smart classrooms will be established in homeopathic medical colleges in Prayagraj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Ayodhya, Ghazipur, Moradabad, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur and Aligarh, apart from Ayurvedic institutions in select cities.
