Srinagar, Aug 7: The team at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) has been appreciated for the successful management of the 3rd Chinar Book Festival 2026, which concluded on July 26 after an eight-day run.
Organised by the National Book Trust (NBT) in collaboration with the District Administration Srinagar and other stakeholders, the festival attracted thousands of visitors, particularly students, book lovers, writers, and literary enthusiasts from across Kashmir and parts of Jammu.
The event provided a vibrant platform for book exhibitions, cultural performances, literary interactions, and intellectual discussions.
Recognising the team’s contribution, the District Administration Srinagar and the National Book Trust felicitated Shahnawaz, Operations Head of SKICC, along with other officials for their dedicated efforts, coordination, and efficient management that ensured the smooth conduct of the festival.
The awards were presented by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, and NBT Convener, Dr. Amit, who commended the officers for their commitment and teamwork in making the event a grand success.
