Rajouri, Aug 16: At least six people were injured, four of them critically, after a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a ditch in the Kandi Mohra area of Rajouri district on Sunday.
According to officials, the accident occurred in the Kandi Mohra area, following which the injured were shifted to the Community Health Centre (CHC) Kandi, where they were provided first aid.
Four critically injured persons were later referred to Government Medical College (GMC) Rajouri for specialised treatment.
The injured have been identified as Mohd Azam (60), son of Mir Baz; Ibrar Ahmed (35), son of Mohd Azam; Imtiaz Ahmed (18), son of Mohd Azam; Shamim Akhter (22), wife of Ibrar Ahmed; Mohd Shakeel (22), son of Munshi Khan; and Khadam Hussain. All are residents of Rehan in Kotranka tehsil of Rajouri district.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated an investigation to ascertain the circumstances leading to the accident.
