Varanasi: A six-day Kathak workshop was inaugurated at Nagar Chhatra Nikay, South Delegacy, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) on Monday.The workshop, organized by warden, South Delegacy, Shyama Kumari, aims to promote India’s rich classical dance heritage. The workshop is being offered free of cost to all BHU students and will continue from July 13 to 18.The workshop aims to provide students with opportunity to learn the fundamentals of Kathak while fostering appreciation for India’s rich cultural and artistic traditions.The workshop is being conducted by Snigdha Sarkar and Jayashree Tripathi, both students of the faculty of Performing Arts and accomplished Kathak dancers.
