BENGALURU: The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) claims and notices period, running from Aug 24 to Oct 22, covers 43.8 lakh voters who have been asked to provide documents establishing their place and date of birth. By Friday, 7 lakh people had completed their hearings. Raj, along with civil society groups, will visit polling booths, compare election commission records with deleted names and collect evidence from affected voters.He alleged SIR was being conducted within a short time frame despite the state having more than 5 crore voters. District-level press meets will be held where affected voters can share their experiences. Raj said evidence would be presented at a Delhi gathering on Oct 1 or 2 and taken to courts by Oct 15.
