Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC chief Sunny Joseph rejected CJP’s allegations that mass deletion of voters during the SIR process in Keralam catapulted the Congress-led UDF to power after the assembly elections in April. Addressing the media on Friday, Joseph – who is also the power minister – said CJP must be raising such false arguments since they were unaware of the ground realities in Kerala. If the argument is that SIR led to the fall of Pinarayi Vijayan govt and created undue favour for UDF, how come BJP won three sitting seats of LDF in the assembly election, he asked. He said UDF won the election on account of a pro-UDF wave and the thumping victory clinched by UDF in the local body elections.Strike called offMeanwhile, the strike by KSEB meter readers was called off on Friday following talks between their representatives and Joseph. They were on strike since Oct 1, raising various demands related to work and wages. Joseph’s office said he will again hold a meeting with the meter readers on Thursday to discuss their demands.
