Pune: Sinhagad Road police have registered a case against the Sinhagad Technical Education Society’s founder, Maruti Navale, and others for failing to pay salaries to employees and teachers at the Sinhagad Spring Dale School.According to the police, Navale and other office bearers of the STES had not paid salaries, worth Rs 5.45 crores to its employees and teachers since 2018.One of the teachers (40), who was engaged with Sinhagad Spring Dale Public School, lodged a complaint with the police on Friday. She claimed that her salary, collectively worth Rs 15.41 lakh, was due. According to the police, she not paid between April 2018 and July 2026.In the last few months, an employee of the society and a medical college teacher had ended their lives due to the unpaid salaries. The teachers and other employees of the society had also protested against the non-payment of salaries before the society’s office on the Sinhagad Road as well as on Karve road.On Saturday evening, TOI tried to reach Navale on his mobile phone, but he did not answer the phone calls.
