Siemens Energy India Limited on Friday said the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia has rejected its appeal against an order directing it to pay ₹44.38 crore, along with 8% annual interest, bringing all court proceedings in the matter in Russia to a close.
In a regulatory filing dated October 9, 2026, the company said it received the update on October 8, a day after the decision dated October 7.
The appeal was filed against an order passed by the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg on July 17, 2025. The proceedings had been transferred to Siemens Energy India following the demerger of the energy business of Siemens Limited under a scheme of arrangement.
The order directs the company to pay an aggregate amount of ₹443.76 million (USD 5.16 million), along with additional interest at 8% per annum from May 30, 2025, until the date of actual payment of the principal amount.
Siemens Energy India said it continues to believe that the arbitral order is unsustainable in law and contract. The company is evaluating further legal remedies to protect its rights and interests.
It also said it would resist any potential attempt to enforce the arbitral order before Indian courts, should the counterparty pursue execution in India.
The company clarified that all court proceedings in Russia have concluded and the Arbitration Court’s order remains in effect.
