Former CM Siddaramaiah in Mysuru on Saturday

Mysuru: Congress activists gave a rousing welcome to former CM Siddaramaiah, who arrived in the city for the first time after stepping down as CM. The activists took him in a procession in an open jeep.Siddaramaiah was received at the Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Circle, popularly called the Highway Circle, on Saturday evening. Congress functionaries, including party district unit president BJ Vijayakumar, city president R Murthy, spokesperson M Lakshman, MLAs HC Mahadevappa and K Harishgowda, MLC D Thimmaiah, etc, were present. Hundreds of party activists gathered to welcome their favourite leader.After interacting with the party workers and functionaries, Siddaramaiah left for his residence. On Sunday, he will attend the party’s convention on SIR, in which KPCC president BK Hariprasad and district in charge minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah will take part.Siddaramaiah was welcomed with a huge garland made of apples.
