GURGAON: The woman biker injured in the Gurgaon Golf Course Road hit-and-run case will undergo X-rays, MRI scans and other treatment at a Delhi hospital, her father said, as she continued to experience pain from injuries sustained in the collision.Her father said Sia was in considerable pain and that some injuries may become apparent only later.He said she had several hidden bruises following the incident and would visit a hospital in Delhi on Wednesday for X-rays, MRIs and whatever treatment she requires.“After an injury, you often discover later where you have actually been hurt, such as hidden bruises, and she had quite a few of those,” Sia’s father told news agency ANI.Sia also said she was in pain and would undergo further medical tests for some of her injuries. “MLC has been done. For a few injuries, MRI tests and X-ray have to be done,” she told news agency ANI.Sia says she was chased, deliberately hitSia alleged that the accused and others in the car had harassed her before the collision and deliberately rammed into her vehicle.“Whatever happened to me on Sunday morning was recorded on my video. I have told the Magistrate what I faced personally. I was chased, harassed, and intentionally hit; I could have died,” she added.She said she had given her statement before the magistrate and requested the strictest action in the case.Haryana Police have arrested primary accused Kalyan Bainsla from Dausa, Rajasthan, along with co-occupant Lovneesh from Palwal, after they allegedly fled the scene and switched off their phones.Sia and her family have maintained that the collision on Golf Course Road was an intentional attack and not an accident.Her father also described the incident as an attempt to murder and thanked police for arresting the accused.‘Not hit-and-run, but attempt to murder’: Sia’s advocateSia’s advocate, Abhishek, said the case was registered under attempted murder provisions based on the manner in which the vehicle hit her and the accused fled the spot.“The charges that have been filed are for attempted murder. As is evident from the video, this is not a hit-and-run case; it is an attempt to murder case. Of course, one cannot comment conclusively on the specific intent of the accused at this stage. That is something the investigation will establish. However, the manner in which the victim was struck and the accused then fled the scene raises serious questions and, on that basis, the case has been registered as attempted murder rather than merely a hit-and-run incident,” he told news agency ANI.(With agency inputs)
