NEW DELHI: Several people are feared trapped after a fire broke out at a residential building in Delhi’s New Friends Colony on Sunday afternoon, triggering a rescue operation by the Delhi Fire Services.According to officials, a call reporting the fire was received at around 3:40 pm. Two fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot to carry out firefighting and rescue operations.Firefighters are currently working to evacuate members of the family residing in the house. Officials said several people are feared trapped inside the building, although the exact number of occupants has not yet been confirmed.Rescue teams are attempting to bring the blaze under control while ensuring the safe evacuation of those inside.Further details are awaited.
