Former National Conference leader and ex-Food Minister Qamar Ali Akhoon, passed away on Friday.
Party President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President & Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, along with the rank and file of the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference, have expressed profound grief over the passing of Qamar Ali Akhoon, former Minister and senior leader.
In a post on X, JKNC wrote, “Remembering him as a dedicated public figure, they said he served the people with commitment, humility and sincerity throughout his political journey. His contribution to public life and unwavering connect with the grassroots earned him immense respect across regions.”
“They conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul, hoping that the family finds strength and solace in this hour of grief.”the post reads.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also expressed profound grief over the sudden demise of Senior National Conference leader Qamar Ali Akhoon.
In a post on X, Office of CM wrote, “Chief Minister has expressed profound grief over the sudden demise of Qamar Ali Akhoon, former Minister, remembering him as a dedicated public figure who served people with commitment and humility. He conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.”
