Itanagar: Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Bosiram Siram has called upon the Centre to send a joint all-party parliamentary delegation to assess ground realities along the India-China border in the Taksing sector of Upper Subansiri district.Siram made the demand after a four-day visit to the remote frontier area, where he reviewed security and livelihood concerns of border residents.Accompanied by senior party leaders, including working president Tanga Byaling and several general secretaries, Siram traversed the challenging terrain to evaluate the prevailing situation and understand the security and livelihood concerns of frontier communities, a party statement said on Saturday.During the visit, the APCC team interacted with Army personnel stationed in the Taksing-Maza-Limeking and Sira sectors, receiving briefings on operational dynamics while carrying the Indian tricolour and raising patriotic slogans.The delegation also paused to pay solemn homage to Havildar Shere Tapa, who made the supreme sacrifice during the 1962 Sino-Indian War.Siram said that Taksing represents the frontline of the nation rather than a distant periphery, urging leaders from both ruling and opposition parties to witness the conditions first-hand to strengthen democratic oversight and national consensus.
