Mumbai: Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday alleged that there was a Rs 100 crore scam in rehabilitation of project-affected persons (PAP) in Mumbai, misusing the official letterhead of ministers. Raut said houses are being distributed to bogus beneficiaries on the basis of the recommendation letters of Mumbai suburban joint guardian minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, and in this injustice is being done to the PAPs. Raut made the allegations in a letter to CM Devendra Fadnavis, which he posted on X. Raut demanded strict action against those involved in malpractices in the allocation of flats to PAPs.Raut said that the govt’s role is to remove the constructions that are hindering the development work and provide houses to the affected people under the ‘PAP’ scheme. “But a racket is going on to give flats to the wrong people through corrupt means by putting pressure on all the offices of the SRA, MMRDA, BMC, MHADA. An organisation ‘Sakal Hindu Samaj’ is playing the role of a broker for this,” Raut said in his letter.
