SEBI’s latest SCORES update shows 5,524 complaints pending as on June 30, 2026, against 5,537 at the end of May, after 5,035 complaints were received in June and 5,037 were disposed of during the month. The market regulator released the status of complaints received on the SEBI Complaint Redressal System for June 2026 on Wednesday.

SEBI’s complaints backlog under SCORES edged down marginally in June even as the regulator’s auto-forwarding and review workflow continued to keep pending cases elevated at the month-end.

The document also says entities took an average of 4 days to provide ATRs in June, while first-level review complaints took 8 days on average.

Under SCORES 2.0, complaints are automatically forwarded to the concerned entity, which has 21 days to submit an ATR to the investor. If the investor is not satisfied, they can seek a first-level review within 15 days, after which the complaint remains in the pending list during that review window.

A second-level review can then be taken up by SEBI if the investor remains dissatisfied, and complaints are also treated as disposed if the investor opts for the online dispute resolution route.
