Buxar: Buxar DM Sahila on Monday ordered show-cause notices and withheld the salaries of seven circle officers (COs) for poor progress in e-mutation work, warning officials of strict action for negligence in implementing revenue and welfare schemes.Chairing a district coordination committee meeting at the collectorate, the DM reviewed the progress of various departments and directed officials to achieve targets within stipulated timelines.Circle officers of Itarhi, Rajpur, Nawanagar, Chaki, Chougain, Chausa and Brahmpur were pulled up for unsatisfactory progress in e-Mutation despite repeated directives. The DM ordered issuance of show-cause notices and directed that their salaries be withheld until further orders. They were asked to improve performance within a week.Slow progress under Parimarjan Plus in Buxar circle also came under scrutiny, with similar action ordered against the circle officer concerned.The DM directed the additional collector to propose action against officials found negligent in disposing of applications under the Revenue Maha Abhiyan. She also stressed better functioning of Panchayat Development Day and Panchayat Sahayata Camps, ordering 100% attendance of officials.Reviewing other sectors, Sahila directed authorities to improve basic facilities in schools, address road safety concerns near Dumraon sub-divisional hospital, monitor rising Ganga water levels, expedite encroachment cases and ensure successful implementation of farmer registration and TB-free campaign initiatives.
