Agartala:Tripura CM Manik Saha on Saturday stressed party discipline and organisational integrity at a felicitation programme for newly appointed BJP Tripura Pradesh President Abhishek Debroy.Addressing party leaders, supporters and workers, Saha said strengthening the BJP at the grassroots requires strict discipline, commitment to party ideology and active community engagement. He warned that anti-party comments on social media, indiscipline or any action that harms the organisation would not be accepted. “No anti-party remarks on social media or any indiscipline will be tolerated. We will undertake necessary actions in collaboration with the administration to address these issues,” Saha said.In a sharp message to internal dissent, the CM said he would not allow any “cancer” to spread within the party, signalling tough action against those seen as undermining the organisation from within.Saha also said those who joined or remained in the party for personal gain rather than ideology would be identified and face consequences. He issued a warning to corrupt individuals and mafias, reiterating the government’s focus on transparent governance and organisational discipline.Expressing confidence in Debroy, Saha said the party would move into a new phase of growth and public service under his leadership. “I strongly believe that with Debroy at the helm, BJP in Tripura will gain strength, find new direction, and be imbued with renewed enthusiasm, which will elevate our public service efforts,” he said.Debroy, in his address, said BJP is not a platform for individual gain but a movement centred on public service and principles. He told party workers that committed members would receive due respect and recognition within the organisation.
