Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference General Secretary and Khanyar MLA Ali Mohammad Sagar on Tuesday inaugurated developmental works worth ₹2.78 crore in his constituency.
Hazratbal MLA Salman Ali Sagar accompanied him during the inauguration.
The works include upgradation and beautification, construction of culverts, drains and water chambers, and footpath development along the Dalgate–Brane–Nishat stretch, costing nearly ₹1.68 crore.
A new block for the New Type Primary Health Centre (NTPHC) at Theed, worth ₹40 lakh, is also part of the projects. Bridge and road development works at Theed, Mulnar and Harwan account for another ₹70 lakh.
Locals welcomed the initiatives, saying the projects addressed long-standing development gaps in the areas and crediting the elected representatives for their efforts to improve public infrastructure.
