Hyderabad: A 23-year-old RTC bus driver, Thalla Ram Kumar, was allegedly assaulted by a biker after a dispute over a bus stop in Nalgonda on Sunday morning, police said.According to the Nalgonda rural police, Ram Kumar, a driver from Nalgonda, told police that at around 8.10 am he stopped his bus at the designated stop near the IT tower in Arjalabavi village. At that point, a man on a bike accompanied by a woman pillion rider pulled up alongside and abused him for not stopping the bus earlier.Police identified the accused as Tupakula Venkatesham. They said he boarded the bus, beat Ram Kumar with his footwear, dragged him off the bus, and continued to assault him.Ram Kumar sustained injuries to his right forehead and left knee, and was shifted to the govt hospital Nalgonda for treatment. He then filed a complaint with the police.Based on the complaint, police registered a case under Sections 118(1) and 352 of the BNS. Further investigation is underway.
