RRB JE CBT 2 result 2025: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) have officially declared the result of the 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2) for the Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS), Chemical and Metallurgical Assistant (CMA), Chemical Supervisor (CS), and Metallurgical Supervisor (MS) posts under Centralized Employment Notification (CEN) No. 03/2024. The CBT 2 exam was held on June 4, 2025, for the remaining 12 RRBs across India.Earlier, the result for nine RRBs, where the CBT 2 was conducted on April 22, 2025, had already been published on July 2, 2025. The newly released result includes RRBs Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Gorakhpur, Guwahati, Bilaspur, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Prayagraj, Chennai, and Siliguri. Candidates can now access their individual scorecards and results by logging in to their respective RRB portals using their Registration Number and Date of Birth.Provisional shortlisting for DV and medical examination beginsCandidates who appeared for the CBT 2 examination and have qualified as per community-wise cut-off marks have been provisionally shortlisted for the Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination (ME) process. Shortlisting has been done based on the performance in CBT 2, post preferences submitted by the candidates, and the Merit Index generated in accordance with Para 14.2 of CEN 03/2024.The scaled score for single session exam groups out of 100 has been considered, and only those candidates whose scores meet or exceed their community qualifying marks have been shortlisted. Candidates are advised to refer to the published list to check their eligibility and cut-off for preferred posts.Instructions for merged category preferencesAs per Para 1.12 (b) of CEN 03/2024, candidates shortlisted for DV must exercise their options for merged categories of posts into a common category, as outlined in Annexure – A (I) of the notification. If no option is provided before DV, the RRB will assume no specific preference, and post allotment will be based on merit and availability.DV and medical examination detailsThe schedule and venue for DV will be communicated to candidates through SMS, email, and official notices published on the websites of respective RRBs. E-call letters indicating the DV date, time, and session (FN/AN) will be available for download. After completion of DV, candidates will undergo mandatory Medical Examination at the nominated Railway hospitals or health units under the jurisdiction of RRBs. Candidates must carry original documents along with two sets of photocopies in A4 size as specified in the CEN.A medical examination fee of INR 24 is to be paid. Additional investigations, if required (such as CT scan or refractive surgery assessments), may involve payment to external laboratories or hospitals.Important instructions for candidatesCandidature for DV is provisional and subject to cancellation at any stage if discrepancies are found in the data submitted or in case of malpractice. The RRBs have clarified that the list of shortlisted candidates is arranged in ascending order of Roll Numbers and not in merit order. Selection is based solely on merit through a computer-based process.
