SARAN: At least three people were stabbed to death and another was injured after two groups clashed in Bihar’s Saran district, police said on Sunday.The incident took place in Parsa village under the Ekma police station area on Saturday night, police told news agency PTI.The deceased were identified as Mukesh Yadav, Ravish Yadav and Anku Kumar, while the injured person was identified as Vivek Kumar, they added.“One person died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries during treatment. The injured is undergoing treatment at a government hospital,” Saran senior superintendent of police Roshan Kumar told news agency PTI.The exact cause of the clash is yet to be ascertained, he said, adding that six people had been detained for questioning.“A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination,” the SSP said.According to villagers, the two groups clashed over supremacy in the area.(With agency inputs)
